Alaina Macia Honored as WashU Olin Business School Distinguished Alumni

We’re honored to announce that our President and CEO Alaina Macia has been named a Distinguished Alumni by WashU Olin Business School. This prestigious recognition was celebrated at a dinner and awards ceremony, where Olin honored seven outstanding alumni across three categories: the Dean’s Medal, Distinguished Alumni, and Emerging Leaders.

The Distinguished Alumni Award, now in its 38th year, recognizes alumni who have risen to become leaders in their communities and achieved remarkable success in their careers. Honorees like Alaina embody Olin’s core values of vision, innovation, and leadership, leaving a lasting positive impact on both business and society. The Dean’s Medal celebrates those who have dedicated time and service to the school, while the Emerging Leaders award highlights alumni demonstrating exceptional leadership and innovative thinking early in their careers.

Alaina earned her MBA from Olin Business School in 2002 and has since become a proud ambassador for the institution. Her journey from Olin student to executive leader is a testament to the school’s role in shaping her success. Today, she also serves on the WashU Board of Trustees, further deepening her commitment to the university that helped pave her path.

Under Alaina’s leadership, MTM Health has grown into a national leader in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and other healthcare support services, ensuring patients can access healthcare without worry. As highlighted in a recent Olin news feature, our innovative approach has transformed the way patients connect with essential medical services. The article notes how Alaina’s vision has driven MTM Health to expand our reach, serving communities nationwide with compassion and efficiency.

Reflecting on this honor, Alaina shared, “I am deeply grateful to WashU Olin Business School for this recognition. Olin provided me with the foundation to think strategically, lead with purpose, and innovate in ways that make a real difference. This award is not just a personal milestone—it’s a tribute to the education and inspiration I received, which continue to guide me every day. Thank you to Olin for this incredible honor and for preparing me to serve and lead.”

The awards ceremony was a night of celebration, bringing together alumni, faculty, and students to recognize the impactful contributions of leaders like Alaina. Her recognition underscores her dedication to advancing healthcare access and her ongoing influence as a business leader and community advocate.

We’re incredibly proud of Alaina’s achievements and the way she continues to represent MTM Health and WashU Olin with distinction. Congratulations to Alaina on this well-deserved honor!
