Florida Donates to Member Battling Cancer

MTM’s Florida team participated in a local breast cancer awareness walk in October to raise funds for an MTM beneficiary battling the disease. Recently, employees were able to present her with the donation.

MTM Florida members participated in the walk that went across the Roosevelt Bridge in Stuart, FL. Transportation providers and other community members were also invited to join in raising awareness. There was an amazing turnout! Then, Lisa Sanders, Florida Program Director, and Pam Canavan, Florida Travel Trainer, were able to present the donations to Aurora A. of St. Pete. She is now cancer free, but still has other health issues that made her very grateful to receive MTM’s gift. A friend was able to accept the donation for her, and let everyone know that the next day was her birthday. What great timing! Lisa and Pam were thrilled to be able to give a much needed donation to one of our members during the holiday season. Thanks to MTM Florida for acting as a strong support system, emotionally and financially.
