Heading to the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Accreditation Commission (NEMTAC) Transform 2024 Annual Conference? We are too, and our own Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Phil Stalboerger will be taking center stage at one of the conference’s general sessions! The event, scheduled for September 8-10, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona, is a premier gathering of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) professionals, company leaders, healthcare experts, and industry stakeholders.

Phil will be a key participant in the general session titled Federal Policy Activity and Emerging Issues: CMS NEMT Guidance and Medicare Advantage Oversight. This insightful panel discussion, set for Monday, September 9 at 9 a.m., will delve into the latest guidance issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to state Medicaid agencies on NEMT programs. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how these new directives aim to enhance various facets of NEMT services, including the passenger experience, provider network management, and program financing and administration.

Additionally, the panel will explore the implications of CMS’s evolving oversight of Medicare Advantage on NEMT providers—a critical issue as the landscape of medical transportation continues to shift. Phil will be sharing his expertise alongside notable industry leaders, including Kacey Dugan of Faeger Drinker and Christina Quast, Assistant Director of the Division of Managed Care Operations at the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).
