MTM Health Announces the Retirement of COO Dawn Kotva

MTM Health’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dawn Kotva has announced her retirement, effective March 7, 2025. Since joining MTM Health in 2019 as Vice President of Operations, Dawn has been a driving force behind our non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) operations, bringing strategic leadership, industry expertise, and an unwavering commitment to delivering our vision. Dawn, a former US Navy Officer, has more than 30 years of healthcare and logistics operations leadership and also currently serves as Chair of the Board for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. She has been instrumental in guiding our growth and operational excellence, and we are deeply grateful for service to our organization, clients, and members.

“As we prepare to say goodbye to Dawn, we want to express our sincere appreciation for her contributions over the past six years,” said MTM Health’s President and CEO Alaina Macia. “Her leadership has been integral to our success, especially as we’ve expanded our footprint through three acquisitions in the last three years and implemented new technology platforms and strategies under her guidance. We wish Dawn the very best in her well-earned retirement and thank her for her dedication to MTM Health.”

As we look to the future, MTM Health is evolving our operational leadership structure to position our organization for long-term success. Recognizing the dynamic needs of our growing client base, we are restructuring the COO role into two distinct Senior Vice President (SVP) positions: SVP of Service Delivery and SVP of Operations. This change ensures a strategic focus on both client growth and retention, as well as operational efficiencies and automation.

We are excited to announce that Dana Wilkerson has stepped into the SVP of Service Delivery role. Dana has been an integral part of MTM Health since 2014, most recently serving as Vice President of Finance and Data Intelligence. Throughout her tenure over the past decade, she has played a critical role in supporting MTM Health’s operations, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Her deep understanding of our business and commitment to client success make her the perfect leader to oversee our nationwide contract operations teams.

“Dana’s extensive experience and deep knowledge of our clients’ needs make her an exceptional fit for this role,” added Alaina. “We are confident that under Dana’s leadership, MTM Health will continue delivering the high quality service and innovation that our clients expect.”

Meanwhile, the new SVP of Operations position will focus on corporate operations, including call center management, workforce planning, and logistics. MTM Health has begun recruiting for this role in an effort to find a operational leader who complements Dana’s client-centric expertise.

As we embark on this new chapter, we remain committed to operational excellence and outstanding client service. Please join us in thanking Dawn for her years of leadership and congratulating Dana on her new role!
