MTM Meets Wisconsin Stakeholders at Bad River Health Fair

As Wisconsin’s new non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) manager, MTM, Inc. is excited to get to know residents and become a part of the state’s diverse community. On July 17, MTM’s Melissa Workman and Christina Meyer attended a health fair at Bad River Health and Wellness Center in Odanah. Melissa and Christina hosted a booth at the fair to distribute informational pamphlets, member cards, and ForwardHealth updates. Well-attended by local residents, medical professionals, and other stakeholders, MTM’s booth and snow cones offered a reprieve from the hot day.

“It was a joy to meet so many stakeholders who are excited about MTM’s presence in Wisconsin,” Melissa Workman, MTM’s Education, Training, and Outreach Coordinator said. “We were able to talk to many Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus members who are now well-educated on the new NEMT processes. One member who frequently attends treatment for liver disease now knows how to use our mileage reimbursement process, and is excited to have convenient access to her appointments.”

As MTM prepares for the August 1 start date of the NEMT program, Melissa and other local staff will continue to reach out to Wisconsin stakeholders for educational opportunities.
